Harrison Smith Safety for the Minnesota Vikings

Harrison Smith is the starting free safety for the Minnesota Vikings. He is definitely the best safety among the Vikings team. He is from Knoxville, Tennessee, where he went to High School. After High School he went to Notre Dame where he switched from linebacker to safety throughout his years there. In the 2012 NFL draft he was picked in the 1st round by the Vikings. In his rookie year with the vikings he started all 16 games, with a total of 104 tackles, 3 interceptions, 1 sack and 2 touchdowns. He since has added to his stats, 328 tackles, 5.5 sacks, 12 interceptions, and 3 forced fumbles, all in his 5 seasons with the vikings. He has been called throughout his career “the hitman” for is very hard hits he puts on players.
